HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO!
PUBLIC SPEAKING - “MY STORY - MY WAY”
LIFE COACHING & MENTORSHIP - YOU ARE CAPABLE OF EVERYTHING!
How many times have you said to yourself; “I’m too busy”, “There just isn’t enough time in the day”. I repeatedly hear these phrases and so many like them time and time again. It often makes me think how we look after ourselves.
Are you looking after yourself? You are the most important investment in your life? You only have one, why wouldn’t you make yourself a priority?
Did I just hear all of those excuses again? You are only as strong as your weakest excuse. We need to put to work your personal social capabilities.

Time, we all have it, the same amount in - a day, an hour, and a minute. How do you spend yours?
Do you run around trying to multitask? Only to get five ‘things’ partially done and not 100% completely done at that? Just done enough to say that you have ‘partially’ completed it. (It may need re-doing later on).
What if you focused entirely on one task at a time? You did it completely and thoroughly the first time, and then moved onto the next; knowing full well that you would not have to revisit the task in the future. You would have been 100% productive. You would have a 100% achievement rate. How would that make you feel?

Imagine two ladders, standing side-by-side, both are set up to reach the same destination. One ladder has small manageable rungs on it, making it easy, inviting and achievable. Each rung of the ladder is in referral to completing a small task, each task, completed effortlessly and simply creates a smooth and confident journey to your destination.
The ladder that is next to it, has large gaps between the rungs, some of the rungs don’t even look that stable; but with less rungs, there is less steps to the destination; it may even seem to be a faster option. As you begin to tackle the large gaps and uncertainty, you begin to realise that there are parts missing and that the quality and outcome of you reaching the top of this ladder to your destination, just became a whole lot harder. With pieces missing and worry setting in, you become unsure and begin to doubt yourself.
If only you had chosen the ladder with more rungs and even though you may have taken longer to get to your destination, you would know that every step you took on the way there was solid, complete and manageable.

Much like the two ladders, we look for the ‘faster option’, the ‘easy way there’; that is not what will shape, teach and prepare us for the destination that we are working towards. There is work in all areas of our life; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. There are no shortcuts.
We know where we are and where we want to be, and 99% of the time will not know the ‘dash’ or the, ‘how to get there’. This is where taking steps, completing them properly and not skipping corners; ensuring that a task is completed properly the first time to the best of our ability, we are now setting ourselves up for success.

Success comes in many different shapes and forms. What does success mean to you?
